An 18-year-old girl by name Faith Pius has been allegedly stabbed to death by her boyfriend on Friday, she died from the wounds sustained from this attack on her.
The suspect who is at large is identify as Torchikwu, 28-year-old, who invited the deceased to a guest house in Yenagoa before carrying out this heinous crime on her.
Before she gave up her ghost, the deceased narrated to his elder brother how the suspected wanted to use her for ritual. It was her resistant that led to boy who immediately brought out a knife and stabbed her in her breast and chest
It was gathered that it was her shout that alerted people who came to the scene but the suspect fled due to the fact that the crime was committed at night so he could not be caught.
The owner of the guest house and one other person has been taking into custody by the police for proper interrogation over the crime that took place in their guest house.
“How could a boy we took as our own blood do this to our daughter (Faith)? He may have run away but he will definitely not escape the long arm of the law. May the blood of our daughter continue to pursue him until he is tracked down and brought to justice.”
However, some angry youths who sparked into actions on the street as a protest were report to have destroyed a goods estimated to millions of Naira in the Biogbolo community. Affected traders have called on the state government for assistance.
The police said they are on the look out for the suspect. However, normalcy has gone back to the community after the interference of the state government who begged the aggrieved youths and family members allow the police do their work.
The commissioner also used the opportunity to dismiss the rumour making the rounds that the body of the deceased was mutilated, saying “it is untrue as the police commissioner has confirmed that the remains of the teenage girl were found intact.”
