Big Brother Housemate Disqualified Over Sexual Harrasment

Ekemini Ekerette, known as “Kemen” has been told to leave the Big Brother Naija show, currently taking place in South Africa for groping T-boss, one of the fellow housemates without her consent, and while she was asleep.

Big Brother noted an incident that occurred between T-Boss and Kemen earlier, where Kemen slipped his hand under a sleepy T-Boss’ duvet and groped her.

Shortly before the eviction show on Sunday evening, Big Brother informed the audience that according to the rules and after a disciplinary hearing he’s now disqualified for his behaviour.

The whole house was in shock as the fitness trainer got disqualified from the house. As expected, social media reacted to his disqualification, and majority condemned his action. Here are some examples of tweets from outraged viewers.

We at UnbrokenChords also think Kemen’s disqualification is his just punishment for violating a female. We must all know that silence is NOT consent, and “Yes is the only word that Means Yes” (although it is also important to note that just because a female says yes, does not take away her right to change her mind at any stage) . Affirmative consent should be a sexual standard everywhere.
