Game of Thrones showrunners, David Benioff and Dan Weiss believe that the mind spectacular HBO series, Game of Thrones should have a natural ending after eight seasons. However, Casey Bloys, HBO’s programming president, announced on Saturday that the network will grant their wishes. He said:
“Believe me, as the new programming president coming in, if I could get them to do more, I would take 10 more seasons. But we take their lead on what they think they can do the best version of the show”.
Game of Thrones will be ending but that doesn’t mean that this will be the end of Game of Thrones universe on screen. Mr. Bloys did not dismiss the possibility of a spin off series. He said:
“We’ve talked about it. It’s something I’m not opposed to, but of course it has to make sense creativity”.
With confirmed speculations that the supposed season finale of Game of Thrones is to return late 2018 or early 2019, the end is now confirmed to be the new beginning. An adopted spin off series as likened to that of “The Originals” in conjunction with “The Vampire Diaries” is almost inevitable to keep HBO fans on seat edges. Already, the show has placed suspense in the minds of their viewers by merging a series of season 7 finale events such as the Fate of Aegon Targaeryan (Jon Snow) with Daenerys – Mother of Dragons, who probably might have a real child this time, also that of Cersei Lannister alongside her unborn child and the biggest of all, corrupted Viserion. A spin off to the world ever anticipated series is more of an ovation welcome.
