Lagos State Task Force operative has arrested a man by name Faith Sunday John for impersonating the Police and extorting money illegally from some members of teh National Unioon of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Oshodi. The suspect according to relport before his arrest was a commercial bus driver.
Faith Sunday John, who lived at No. 37, Anjorin Street, Shasha, Egbeda claimed he was an Inspector attached to the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja.
According to the source; the suspect, from Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State who operates a commercial bus plying between Egbeda and Shasha was caught wearing original cardigan and with an identity card belonging to the Nigerian Police Force.
Further investigations revealed that both the cardigan and identity card belonged to his late father who was an Assistant Superintendent of Police before he died last year in Lagos.
It was further disclosed that he removed his late father’s passport from the Nigerian Police Force identity card and re-laminated his own passport on it.
Everyday for the thief, one day for the owner.
