She was sexually abused at 9,  Left home at 13,  got pregnant at 14, a beauty queen at 17 took to drug abuse at 20. Became first Black American woman on National Tv and a millionaire at age 32. And now called the “Queen Of All Media.”

Oprah Winfrey was born January 29, 1954, in Kosciusko Mississippi United States to a teenage single mother.

Oprah Winfrey is inarguably one of the most powerful Black Female America women in the world today.

 Life with her poor grand mother, Hattie Mae in the city of Kosciusko, Mississippib was horrible.

Her early education started in her grand mothers kitchen due to lack of funds. She wore dresses made of potato sack with the neighbourhood kids making jest of her,

She was sexually molested during her childhood, and early teenage years, that resulted in a pregnancy. At 14 she had a son who died after birth.

Oprah Winfrey was  taken back to her father at Nashville  Tennessee where she started her high school education.

With the determination to make something out of her life at 17 she registered for a beauty pageant in Nashville and won, Miss Black Tennessee, making her the most popular  girl in school.

After winning the pageant a local black radio station, VWOL, got interested in her and hired her to do news part-time.

Oprah relocated to Chicago in 1993 to host WLS-TV’S low rated half hour morning talk show, AM Chicago. Immediately Oprah took over the show, there was a massive turnaround in views.

A show that was later renamed THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW.

Years later Oprah Winfrey is the “world’s most powerful woman” CNN and Time.

Oprah Winfrey was said to be “arguably the most influential in the world” by the American Spectator

“One of the100 people who most influenced the 20th century”

Oprah is “one of the most influential people of 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, by Time magazine.

In 2013 she was awarded the Presidential Medal Of Freedom by Ex American President Barack Obama. She’s currently North America first and only multi-billionaire black person.

She’s been awarded honorary doctorate degree from Duke and Harvard. Her net worth is currently estimated at US$2.9billion as at the year 2017.
