When you find a system that works, you stick with it. After mastering the art of the naked photoshoot (most recently to promote an art portrait book by celebrity photographers Mert and Markus), Kim Kardashian took the stunning nude to a new level with her latest KKW Beauty launch. The reality star and business mogul covered her body in glitter to promote her new makeup line on Instagram.
The photo is everything. The caption announces “Ultralight Beams highlighters & glosses launching Dec 1st on KKWBEAUTY.COM.” (With more than 1.7 million likes in nine hours, she’s clearly made her point.) You can also see a sneak peak of a video of that shoot on her KKW Beauty Instagram —and she’s literally glowing.
As if her sales tactics weren’t clever enough, let’s also acknowledge her nod to hubby Kanye’s 2016 single Ultralight Beam from the album The Life of Pablo as the namesake to the new product.
The new line, which consists of five highlighting powders and five glittery glosses, will be released on December 1st. Luckily, makeup artist and beauty blogger Huda Katan shared a preview of the glosses and highlighters on her Instagram. You can see the shimmery hues ranging from silver, coppers, rose gold, and gold. “Thank you @kimkardashian & @kkwbeauty for sending this to me first,” she captioned. She also unboxed the products in a video on her blog . “I’m…literally dead over this. This is the most beautiful collection I have ever seen,” she said.
Since Kim basically has the internet up in flames at this point, reactions to her pic range from the simple (lots of heart-eyed smiley emojis) to the flattering. “This is the level of extra I aspire to be,” one commenter wrote. Another joked, “‘Have I got enough highlighter on?'”
The Ultralight Beams join three other products in the KKW Beauty line, which includes a Crème Contour & Highlight Kit, Powder Contour & Highlight Kit, and Crème Liquid Lipstick Collection. Crystal Gardenia Scents are also part of her recently launched KKW Fragrance collection, which made record sales. When her KKW Beauty line debuted back in June, the products—all 300,000 of them—sold out in less than three hours, netting her an estimated 14.4 million, according to Money. Given the frenzy that Ultralight Beams is causing, we have a feeling this one will be no different.
