Memorial service was held for top Nollywood actress, Moji Olaiya who recently passed away in Canada, two months after the birth of her second child.

Family, friends and Colleagues came together to bid her a befitting farewell amidst tears and celebration of her and what she was.

It’s a well known fact that Moji Olaiya is one of nollywwod most liked and loved actress, not a single negative word has being said about her since her demise.

Sometime last week I walked into my local saloon at Kent in London where I reside, I met a group of ladies, about five of them, they were discussing about the late Moji, I sat and listened, all through the conversation which lasted for about 30mins before I took leave, all I heard was how gentle a soul she was, how beautiful she was inside out.

Though I have never met her in person but I have watched some of her movies.

I felt an overwhelming sense of pain and loss as I left the saloon that day. For people that knew her and were close to her, I can only but imagine their deep sense of pain and lose.

Hoping they find solace in the goodness of who she was and the legacy of sweetness she’s left behind in the heart of her fans. There is no doubt, Moji Olaiya will be greatly missed.

“When I heard she was dead; I was expecting a miracle from God that would wake her up and bring her back to us. But today and now is the wake, meaning she is not coming back.”

“Losing Moji in the industry for me is a minus because Moji was a fantastic and a very strong person that nobody would want to miss as a friend, sister or mother.”

“We have great plans for the children, but you know we say it and God does it.

“We pray that God will give us the strength to continue with the plans and fulfil the promises we made to the children, but I know that they are not going to suffer.”

“We actually planned this burial arrangement in one week, thanks to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who gave us money to bring back her corpse from Canada to be buried in Nigeria.

“And I am so happy that Moji will be buried in her father’s land. It will have been sad if she was buried over there,” she said.

Pasuma wonder said, “The last time I saw her was during one of her movie premier.

“This is a sad thing to happen and we need more prayers in the industry. We have to pray for her and her family and children.
