OSUN STATE: Robbers Shot Four Police Dead In Multiple Bank Robbery

Four police officer were on Tuesday killed by armed robbers in a multiple bank robbery in Iwo, Osun State.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that the robbers targeted three banks to commit the crime.

The robbery was carried out at about 4.pm on Bowen University road, Iwo.

It was gathered that during the robbery attack by the  daredevil robbers at three  various located commercial banks in the town,  three casualties were recorded.

Three policemen guarding the three commercial banks where the same day multiple robbery took place are feared dead.

Four Police

Some of the Automated Teller Machines (ATM) were reportedly removed at the bank by the hoodlums but it was not clear if they took  the machines away.

A resident told a correspondent that the streets were deserted as robbers and policemen exchanged fire during the operation.

One member of the gang of robbers was shot and killed by the police response squad.
