Security Guards Jailed For Theft Of Dodgers Team Merchandise

Three security men were on Thursday sentenced after they all got in no contest pleas to charges of stealing Merchandises belonging to the LA Dodgers team to sell.

Juan Prada aged 59, and Fernando Sierra aged 63 both from California each pleaded to one count of second-degree commercial burglary, according to the Los Angeles Country district attorney’s office.

Jesse Dagnesses aged 51 then pleaded to one count of receiving the stolen goods exceeding $950 in value, which included baseballs and team jerseys.

Prada and Sierra worked as security guards at Dodger Stadium from 2013 to 2016. They were accused of stealing from an equipment room, using masks, gloves and headlamps. The pair then allegedly gave the stolen goods to Dagnesses to sell.

All three were sentenced to three years formal probation, 120 hours of Caltrans work and ordered to pay $2,500 to the Dodgers.

If any of the men violate probation, they are subject to a 16-month county jail sentence. Authorities said.
