Got some free time on your hands this week through to the weekend, yea the weekend is still far away, but that’s the whole idea, you got all the time to preview this fantastic movies and pick one for midweek treat and another for the weekend ahead.
No Owambe parties for the coming weekend right, no clubbing, you want to chill at home huh, bet you tired of being a couch potato like me.. Well here’s your solution — Go see a movie or two.
Now picking a movie can be very tricky, and let’s be frank, box office sales aren’t always the benchmark for determining a good or bad movie. Some of the best movies didn’t even have a theatre release.
This weekend though, here are some great movies you can catch, without the fear of not getting your money’s worth (and if you decide to go out with your crew, they won’t lynch you for picking a bad movie).
1. King Arthur: Legend of the Sword — Starring Charlie Hunnam (Pacific Rim), Jude Law (Pope), Àstrid Bergès‑Frisbey, and Eric Bana (Troy) alongside Djimonou Hossou (Guardians Of The Galaxy), this fantasy epic brings to the big screen an all too familiar tale. However, with a mixture of humor and well directed cutback scenes with amazing fight scenes, King Arthur is worth it’s nearly 2 hour run, guaranteed to keep you on your seat and enthralled.
2. Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 — Starring Chris Pratt (Passengers), Zoe Saldana (Colombiana), Dave Bautista (WWE) and the voices of Bradley Cooper (Limitless) and Vin Diesel (xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage), this sequel to 2014’s major blockbuster teases double the humor, double the clapback-dialogue, double the action in this intergalactic comic-book adaption destined to make you float.
3. Pirates Of The Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales — starring Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Javier Bardem and Keira Knightely, the final and fifth instalment of the Pirates of The Caribbean franchise, despite mixed to negative reviews even only on it’s first weekend, is your escape out of boredom this weekend. Packing fights on the sea, revenge and nostalgia from the previous movies, Dead Men Tell No Tales promises to be worth the watch nevertheless.
Take our word for it, one or two of these movies would definitely make your weekend worth it. Have fun!.
