Manchester City have reportedly offered a contract extension to Ivorian midfielder, Yaya Toure and he will have to take a pay-cut if the player wants to stay at the Etihad stadium next season.
The midfielder is part of the many players plying their trade in Mancity who are out of contract at the end of the current season but it has been gathered that the coach [pep Guardiola] wishes to retain him in the club.
Initially, Yaya was frozen out of club’s selection after a mix up between Guardiola and the Ivorian’s agent (Dimitri Seluk) but brought back into the fold after impressing in November.
Toure will have to choose whether to accept a new deal which will see his wage reduced from £210,000 per week or to leave the club at the end of the season.
Should Toure accept a pay cut contract or leave?
